Outwood Academy Brumby is an 11-16 school. The buildings were partially rebuilt/renovated 7 years ago. There are four blocks in total accessed by covered walkways and these blocks surround a large amphitheatre.

Most classrooms have their own interactive whiteboard and modern seating. There is a main hall for all school productions with plenty of seating space.

There are excellent design technology facilities offering a range of equipment to be used for Engineering, Food and Art. There are dedicated rooms for ICT and Business with computer access. There are five Science labs with facilities for practical lessons. The music room is equipped with a large number of instruments and has the benefit of Mac computers for recording and music research.

The academy library ‘Impact Zone’ is a welcoming learning environment for all students. Students can attend the Impact Zone at breaks and lunchtimes and after school. There is a well-stocked library for students to loan books and also a teaching space with computer access. The Bridge is a learning environment which has been created for vulnerable students where there is a calm quiet atmosphere.

Our excellent sports’ reputation is reinforced by the sporting facilities including: the Sports Hall, Activities Suite and also a fully equipped Fitness Suite and a large sports field.
